I'm reading and learning so much here that I have to ask, because the bug with window blocking some stuff etc.. are puzzling me.
I have a building that I want to render interiors from, with much glass windows. I want to use the sun and physical sky for starters, and would need SkyPortals/LightPortals for this to optimize, but I also want to use the glass so it reflects the interior scene. So how do I set this up with that PhiSky bug?
thanks,
Thomas
Glass windows with SkyPortals and Physical Sky
Re: Glass windows with SkyPortals and Physical Sky
You don't need Lightportals. Forget about them. Just use Physky with sun and you are ready to roll... If your interiors look too dark then you can add a lumi poly or two to brighten up the room but that's really all there is to it. Do not complicate!thomas wrote:I'm reading and learning so much here that I have to ask, because the bug with window blocking some stuff etc.. are puzzling me.

This is nothing new, it's how it always worked... You can make lumi polys render as direct and they won't block physky.
