Resolution and number of photons

Post by inakito »

Lets say I am testing a scene at 1k and I am happy with the photon solution.
If I double up the resolution more photons will be fired If I am not wrong...
Then, can I just try too get the same looking at 2k that I was getting at 1k just by changing the N number untill the number of photons matches so the render time doesnt go to high? Will the quality be sacrifice?
Cheers

No photons are not dependent on image resolution. They are based on scene size.
