Hey everybody, first of all, I wish u a great and happy new year!
I got a problem with my last render, I tried to put some lumi-poly (up globes) at 2000% lum and I like the ambiance of the final GI but some artefacts appear on the image and I can't get them of, I don't know what to change on kray config...
here is the render and kray config...thx for helping

I'm using LW 9.5 64, kray 1.7 ob 8
my globe lights are 324 polygons each (i know maybe it's too much?), I put them on a different layer, with modifier krayPhotonNumberMultiplier (100000.0) and shaders krayIndirectRays (desturate 50, multiply 2) and kraySurfaceOptions (Visible, reflect, force)

Too low FG rays. Try min 400 max 2000 threshold 0.0001.
Also UPDATE TO RC1!

Altough I don't have LW 9.6 yet, I allready tried the RC1 but I could't get the same results as usually with same config so I went back to 1.7...

Presets were changed in RC1 so that's maybe why you were getting different result. If you showed what the difference is I could probably help you more.mathewlp wrote:Ok thanks you I'll try..

RC1 is superior to OB8 in all aspects.

But I saw something about a fixing tool for 9.5 users...? Do I need it to use the rc1?

ps: So that having optimal settings for final gather, what maximum min & max rays do I can use? min 400 max 2000? Above? cause it still seems not to be enought according to the reslutls...

You can use as much as u want or time permits... More rays the cleaner the render. Add some FG blur too (like 4 or 8).mathewlp wrote:all right!
