Archinteriors scene - wip

Post by cruisermori »

My first render focused on KRay set-up. Still I have to fine-tune materials. Comments welcome.

looking great Cruiser !

I might add some blurred reflections to the T bars on the ceiling, not sure if they are supposed to be that reflective/polished (I would think its more of a matte material)

Looking good !

Hey cruiserMori!

I see alot of artifacts on walls and floor. Those vertical lines look strange. What are your settings?

I like the scene composition which you've got there.

I'd like to see some bump on the wall bricks with reflective/ specular like properties.

The overall lighting looks fine, the problem is the low res materials from evermotion. This scene is older, and uses low res image maps. I would consider using different maps for the floor and the lower wall. Lastly the steel beams are way to reflective. :)

Thank for all your comments. For me the K point is overal lighting and time I need to render it. I will change image maps and come with new render soon. Steel beams are to reflective, because I was not able to set correct KRay set-up for blurring. In lw I have reflection blurring 40% and in KRay Blurring treshold (Ray min 500 max 1000) and still there is a lot white splotches :(

I think your diffuse is too high on the chrome. I usually leave it at 0% and only add reflection.

Otherwise it's looking good!

I allways have to blur the reflections on chrom to avoid aliasing..
