Re: cant rendering animation with object dissolve
I trashed all the images in the scene and then it renders fine when using object dissolve. It happens in all the diffuse models. Rendering with layout native is no problem. When I render it on a mac UB it renders, but stops sometimes. I tried to simplify the scene, but then I cant reproduce the cras...

Hi Jure,
I need to find a matching background, this now is too much day. I think I need to have a magic hour background.

Something I'm working on
Hi Guys, I saw a realistic render on a forum and I wanted to make the same. Took me days to make and design, but here's an almost finished image. Render was 10u on 10 cluster farm. Need to position my instances a bit better, lost my sky reflection in the balcony... working on it. The backgrou...

Re: Carpets
Hey guys,
Thick carpet with real fibers attached in this post, strings of about 3mm. UV's just need a texture image of choice. (transparecy is for the ends of the fiber)
1st layer are instances, 2nd are the fibers. If it renders to long, just put subdivisions lower.
Greetzzz,
fabian

Re: Light with polygons or LUMI-polys tips and trics?
Hi Johny,
Thx for the assist! I have some small questions about the secene.
1. I use the fresnel shader instead of the gradient you use, is there a difference?
2. what is Reinhard?
3. everyone uses that eames chair, where can I find a model of it?
Greetzzz,
Fabian

Re: animation / fly thru
Just follow the same steps like when using a renderfarm when you want GI-baking 1.Bake GI by rendering 1 frame - shared for all frames - put it on update instead of save- 100% render (farm can lower this) - without AA - REST ON 2.Put GI to load or update, AA on, render the scene If you want to use t...

kray instancing
Hallo Guys, Could you ad in the manual that the instances need to have their pivot point centered in the object? Otherwise the instances are dispersed in the scene and not situated on the points.(so make point layer in modeler, then F2, in layout put it in correct place. I had same troubles with it....

Re: Boolean in layout????
No worries, a guy at the lightwave forum helped me out. Here's the way to do it.

Just tested it with kray...

Boolean in layout????
Hi guys,
I need to do an animatable boolean effect on objects in layout... anybody knows how? I saw on youtube a trick with the node editor, but its not rendering reflection and transparecy. (in cinema 4D its with bool i think) I need to render it in kray also.

Fabian

Re: Kray Buffers - render speed
Hi Sat, I've tried to look for a drop in renderspeed, but havn't found one with buffers activated. But if you use a renderfarm, the rendertime of the total sequence will drop a bit, cause of disc writing the files.( If you want to solve this, you need gigabit network, fiberoptics or very fast discs,...

Re: butterfly net render
Hi, I'm happy rendering with BNR-kray for a year. My workflow is: 1. working local (mac-pc) animator-modellers etc 2. moving finished scenes to mastercomputer of the farm (where BNR controller is) 3. opening lightwave (from the master or from another pc, never from mac) , setting content directory t...

Question Rendering witth openEXR - Kray
Hi all, I'm happy rendering for POK with my fast 10 cluster renderfarm for about a year. I was just wandering if it would be possible to let Kray work with the openEXR plugin? It's not a critical question, it just would make the job for the compositors easier... Easy said: Kray and the image s...
