Hi!
I often find myself thinking: wow, that pre-render pass looks beautiful! I really like the look of everything in white, with some color-bleed that seems to come from nowhere putting delicate color gradients on surfaces and volumes.
So, I'm wondering: is there a way to get this pass out of Kray? And additionally, if this is possible, is there a way to get this pass out with the lighting better than in the pre-rendering pass itself? The pre-render pass is beautiful but still splotchy, but if could get a refined version of the pre-render out of Kray I think I could use it on a lot of conceptual work.
Thanks,
Thomas

This is just that engine construction . Also in V-ray you have passes. This system of render helping to better detection of samples in final gathering. In future G. will try make final render in one pass (I hope). Now for fast preview you can put 0% for prerender (just to see fast GI with splotches)

Hi Jure,
I'm aware of what you're saying and I'm not complaining about the way Kray works - in fact, I love it!
What I am asking if there is a way to get nice beauty shots of the pre-render pass out of Kray, because I like the look of that pass.
Thx!

Re: Polished pre-render pass possible?
For reference I've included an example of what I mean. I really like this look: it has a sort of delicate ghostly colour bleed, over sacral whites.
Please note that I'm really checking to see if there is a way to render out this pass with Kray (with some sort of header command for example), not for ways to 'fake' this look with Kray. I know I could fake this image with yellow polys in the boxes, and blue underside of the table, but that's a workaround that only works for specific situations.

Re: Polished pre-render pass possible?
Hmm no there's no command to do this directly. I guess it could be done with rendering out just indirect pass and a white scene and then composting or something along this lines.
