Hi!
I have some problems to get the right properties for my scene.
Its a scene where i use photon mapping. Now i need some object
movement in the scene.
I have activated the Time interpolation function with "5 frames" and "Ectinction 50%"
with precached map an irradiance cache checked.
The result looks like this.

Are these light failures on the sides based on the time interpolation things?..should i use other parameter for such a scene?
Thx a lot for some help
Greetings!

Re: Animation | Object movement
ok.... i have found out that these light distortion alltough be there without time interpolation... so now i only need to know how to avoid them

Re: Animation | Object movement
When i put an object into the room with 100% transparency it already has strange influence
on the light situation surround the object.
Does anybody know a way to blend in an object in a scene without getting these light faults during the blending process? Its also necessary that after blending it reacts to lights like all other elements.
If there is no way to do this i´ll have to try it in post.

Re: Animation | Object movement
Is that a light leak? Why use photonmapping for animation?
Re: Animation | Object movement
Hi geo.
I have just rendered some stills with photonmapping in kray. So what settings would u prefer for rendering such a kind of animation ?
thx

Re: Animation | Object movement
I dont know much about kray animations but the principles with vray are the same.
In vray i use Irridiance plus lightcache. I never use photonmapping. Seems to create errors like artifacts, shadow flickering, lighterrors. Its the same in lw I use interpolated FG which is aimilar to vray Irridiance, lightcache if I'm not mistaken.
I never render out an animation with 1 pass. I think your video is rendered in 1 pass.
Try to render the room panning, moving tubes, moving tubes shadow, all in separate passes and composite them later. Not sure if kray supports surface density material to get shadow pass. And also the last time I rendered something like this in kray it slowed down if I made the room unseen by camera. I had a moving object that I wanted to render out the pass but kray would not render it out fast. Even with the room unseen by camera it was like everything was being rendered as is(room seen by camera) or even slower. I went back to FG and rendered out the moving object from there as well as the shadow pass. The empty room was rendered in kray though.
