looks ok at this resolution, really is a bit small. Good compositon. maybe add a background and some reflection to the wood.

If i look at both images the left looks realictic, and going to the right it starts to looking dull, its not a lacking in composition but the loss of highlights (or reflection) in the surfaces in that area. The purple lampshade looks brilliant.

May i ask how long it takes you to get an image like this, from project start that is.. Is it a production image or a personal project?

In general its good but it has potential to become brilliant.

cheers

The lighting looks very good, but as darickster said, some materials look duller than they should. Adding some reflection to some should solve this.

Why You use virtualdarkroom ?!!!
Please... dont pain Kray :D Kray have full global illumination, includes all ways of light transport.....
Use:
inside rooms luminoisty lamps please TURN ON limitdr shader (after that You can use 4000% lumi for lamps or much biger :D ) ... You receive nice fill light inside rooms without splotches.
ofcoarse You must use KrayMultiply shader for this lumi surfaces inside room becouse Kray don`t know abount strong power lumi from light sources (when You use skyportals You must use this shader for control light inside and looking good ballance betwen light sources - sometimes lumi surfaces inside rooms need 500% sometimes 20.000%! but this is fast just put PRECOMPUTE RENDER to check light splotches.
For good colours You must use LWF from Kray - this is much better then Exponential (will release in next OB update).
