I mean that my render time is too High, whilst you often post some image saying "render time 3 min 45 sec"... I would be glad to do my renders in less than 30 minute, but I can't... So, which kind of approximation or interpolation do you use? And ,do you always resize your textures for the scene or not... Most of my textures are TIF in Hi res o jpeg In Hi res (not less tha 1600x1660)... I'm asking you some tips to speed my rendering... also in the AA approximation... 8)

Ok Jhony, never mind... I this case it's not a matter of Ideas, How many LW i can have opened, or how many good rendering I Have on my PC (and I have over 1000 rendering saved on my HD from LW, KRAY, VRAY and Maxwell)...
The problem is that Vray users, for example, are not so embarrassed to share knowledge and this is the real reason why Vray is more popular than Kray... Not better (I'm sure Kray is better) but more popular... Just consider that a lot of Lightwave users decided to move to 3DS Max just to use vray...
Except Jure, Matt, Erwin and some other nice guy from the Skype Help channel, is almost impossible find someone who can really help Kray users, because the Knowledge about Kray seems like a CIA top secret... But I didn't ask you to share all your Knowlede, or secrets... I just asked for some tips and tricks to improve my rendering speed without unduly compromising the quality...
Have a good day

I can't agree with you on this one. Three is no top secret. The only difference is that vray has thousands of johnys and erwins matts etc. and so there is a lot easier to find tutorials. Once Kray has bigger community and we get more tutorials etc. it will be easier to find help also. Also vray has been around many years while Kray is just about to make it's first major release so it's still quite a young software.

Tips and tricks are good but if you don´t have a good perception of the world around you, still lot´s of light paint, good compositon, image very well balanced, good materials you´ll get no where.
and kray forum provides lot´s and lot´s of help, but please read older posts, or will keep telling the same story over and over again.
Never had a question without response, and thanks once again for the prós that provide us informacion.

Yes in 100%
I am not talented, but I do many test (milions test) alone or with Adrian.
We compare many scenes from V-ray (You don`t saw this renders becouse this is test, maybe later we will post) We recived very good resoults , fast renders (sometimes 3-4 times faster with same quality)
Problem is this: Kray is Young, need time for find good ideas (V-ray had same problems when V-ray was Young, people rendered Crap quality, this situation change only last 2-3 years! (pleas check Evermotion`s render befor 3 years - lookin CRAP!) and still is small group people who can use V-ray (rest can use only QMC or strong PS)
Good way for good rendering is UNDERSTAND - no LUCK SHOT - if You looking LUCK SHOT please try MAXWELL a wait....... ( this is funy: in maxwell You need too good ideas...)

I think lw community is too small compared to max. So few resources available. And then there's Core. Now more lw jump ship to other program OR more people less interested in lw because its starting again from scratch. They're comfortable with what they have for years, max, maya, xsi, modo.
This affects kray perception with its current state of only lw legacy plugin until Core is out officially general cg public doesn't know anything.
How old is vray and kray btw? I think beta of vray started late 2002. I heard of kray 2004 I think.

Around this.
But please remmeber: this is 2 years difference (this is BIG DIFFERENCE in 3D technology)
We have much better engine then BIG FAKE V-ray (yes this is BIG FAKE ENGINE, of coarse working great...)

Yes I agree, kray engine is really fast. So why not bring it to other 3d software :D More users the better.
