Kray RC2 released

Hello everyone,

this time faster than usual we are releasing next Kray update. We are getting closer to release now and fixing the remainder of bugs. Few more are still standing so hopefully we can fix most of them before Kray goes final.

RC2 brings alot of bug fixes and some new memory optimizations. Kray should be consuming much less memory now. We have also added a new optimization to memory but we are still testing it. If you want to help then add octcache 3; to the tailer commands and report back if you find any strange behaviour. In general it should load big scenes much faster...

yeah i want test it because with RC1 in london view wip there are problem with virtual memory error on my xp64 and 4gb

If you are on 9.5 then you will want to upgrade to 9.6...

because i've same scene with lw9.5 and kray rc1, so i must reinstall all and i've a small problem of time.
there isn't problem, now i use the rc1...in the week end update all

Thanks for the announcement.

I downloaded the zip, and there is no 64 bits version for LW 9.0? I am asking because I still have installed 9.3.1 64 bits (along 9.6).

Best way to use Kray is upgrade to 9.6. Becouse of LW SDK changes Kray for 9.3.1 is not compatible with 9.5 and 9.5 is not compatible with 9.6. So to satify all guys we would have to release Kray for LW 7 or later, for LW 9.3.1, for LW 9.5 and for LW 9.6. For Win32, Win64 and Mac (fortunately UB covers x86 and PPC). Compiling all versions is not a big deal, but handling all LW SDK version differences can cause problems.
LW SDK changes are for the better. Some really important bugs have been fixed in 9.6, so its really best to upgrade to 9.6.
Or, is there a reason people use LW older then 9.6 I have missed?

i think that there'isn't a specificy reason...i think only fprime cannot use in 9.6...but we have kray

as i write in pm to jure, one reason is old work in kray 1.7 so there are same trick to modify the scene (read skyportal or area light at windows!!!)
think it's a reason or work time to modify and testing new system of lighting but nothing is impossible...
