first I post this thread on Newtek forum.
I am searching to buy a render plugin for LW 9.6, more than one person said that Kray is suitable for my case.
But I have some questions before I decide:
1- is Kray support the all new LW node system in render and preview?
2- is Kray support animation render?
I need a render and preview plugins.
some details if it can help:
MacPower G5 2GHz, Dual Processor
2.5 GB Ram
OS X Tiger 10.4.11
LW v. 9.6 UB

1. Almost all LW nodes work without a problem. There are a few nodes though that will render black in Kray - this are nodes that require special LW prepass (Sigma2 for example).
2. Yes animation is fully supported in Kray.
3. Kray works faster on Windows than on Mac right now, although fixes are being made to make it faster for mac too...

The reason for Kray being faster on Windows is due to a multi-thread issue on Mac intel architecture. This bug does not exist when using dual processor PPC machines like your G5, so you should get comparative speeds in LW/Kray/Mac OSX compared to LW/Kray on windows.jure wrote:3. On the other hand is the copy of Kray work on both platforms (Win/Mac) like LW or evey platform need a copy
