More to come.
You do have control over the surface flags in Kray though

checkout surface_flags in this link: http://www.kraytracing.com/wiki/Advanced_features

From memory if you just want indirect light in your map you would put "surface_flags 0;" in the header command.

And keep the examples coming, looking great!

Johnny: Hey thanks for the comments, thats an honour coming from the master :)

Jure: Thanks for moving the thread to this place. If we can get more people messing around with this stuff it would be awesome! 8) Great for Kray for pulicity movies

Haven: Thanks yeah I have heard of thatbefore, I will look into it. It's cool though because some of the effect look quite nice even though they are hacked in, like the refracted transparent glass, looks quite cool from some angles.

I forgot to add at the time but you can also use the Kray buffers script to rip certain surfaces from the baked map.

It's a lot easier than trying to remember command lines :D

Hi guys,

Another update. This time a new apartment shoot and a model. The model was rendered in FPRIME but everything in the scene was baked out using KRAY. In all over 8 textures baked from Kray and 2 from FPRIME. 2X 4096X4096 and 8 2048X2048. The scene is nearly 1.3 million polygons and renders at about 25-30 FPS in the Infinite-Engine.

Not bad for a first pass. Here's the download to the movie and some images below.

Movie ( WARNING about 80MB's but worth it to see Kray's textures in action ) BTW turn your sound up!

or a .FLV at around 9MB

Let me know what you think, early days but Kray is what I have been waiting for for the last 5 years. Thank you for making such an amazing package.

You should charge more! no really! Brilliant. Robust and so versatile. Newtek should give you guys some investment!

Cheers

Lee

PS that is my apartment in the backgound :D

Wow this is really awesome stuff! Good to hear Kray is serving you well. We're still working heavily on improving it's compatibility with LW. Fortunately Newtek has been doing some right moves lately so we can get better integration.

that is a very good example of a kray bake! Nice framerate indeed, what GPU is it? Not so fond of the motion blur effect. I rather have more frames/sec than mimick the limitations of camera speed. DOF looks very nice though.
