I'm a new user
this is my first attempt after some fast manual readings
in this scene I've put 3 (1 polygon each) luminous surfaces (1000% luminosity)
tone mapping exponential 1.7 hsv checked
all settings near low and antialiasing medium
i've tried to put 3 balls with this surface settings:
1)ceramic like high diffuse and low blurred reflection
2)metallic like, low diffuse, high gloss reflection
3)brushed metal like, low diffuse, a gradient over very blurred (75% blur) reflection
ok the results is very photorealistic for me.. and so fast (4 minutes on a quad q6600)
but how can I clean the noisy reflection on the right ball?

To remove noise on the blurry reflection you need to up the max rays for the Reflection/refraction Quality on the Quality tab.
