Ok, here's my try of this... I removed the area lights from windows, and added a luminous sphere out side to light up the stuff... Don't see too much splotches... Render time was around 35 minutes for this one...

Well, there are SOME splotchess, but didn't have much time to tweak the settings...

Right... those splotches become really bad when you lighten up the scene a bit more.
also, what's happening behind the painting? Looks like stuff is glowing behind it.

AcidArrow wrote:Also, apart from the bump, you had a gradient by bump on color which I think is buggy with kray. Anyway I also removed the bump from the wall and did a 1440 render and I think that wall is pretty clean now.

If you use lumi lights make sure they are a different part each.
that does look cleaner...
It does so with me too.

What lumi lights do you refer to? The ones in the standing lamp?
Now all we need to do is get rid of the white specks.

Meh, even with all the adjustments, it won't get really smooth. I need it because it'll be short-cached animation...
