House render wip

Post by walfridson »

Hi all
Trying to get my head around 1.7. So here's a scene I threw together to learn more on rendering.
Its wip so gimme alot of feedback folks!!

Skygen, spot for sun, area lights on windows and some point lights.
200,000 photons / 200N / 200% blur, FG min 800 for now.

Interesting object you have there. I'd say area lights are a bit strong in some places but other than that it's pretty good.

I did some simple "cutaway" renders myself and always wondered weather I should light my scene like you did or just go with general outside light. I haven't tried your method yet.
It looks like you modeled a roof and made it unseen by camera so you only get light through windows?

Thanks boys!
Johnny its inverse distance on all. Yes the bloom is a bit strong. Being taken care of :)

Interesting Jure, do you have any render using that setup?
Maybe I should give it a try.
