hi boys i've a big problem of time render for a scene with high number of reflection.
this is the grab screen.
for a 1000*500 = 55min on i7 920.
there are same parameter to modify to accelerate the render?
i need to render the object for a brochure 5000*2500 px
thank's
sorry for wm but is a prototipe object
this is the render with probl.
is a object in studio (download scene of piano in kray depo file)
time problem in render
Re: time problem in render
This is the kind of scene where turning off "Cache Irradiance" could be quite a lot faster.

thank's jure you can explain me where i need to turning off cache?jure wrote:This is the kind of scene where turning off "Cache Irradiance" could be quite a lot faster.
in really only in this render there is a time problem.
when the camera is global object the render time is good!!!

i've see this render in MWR, VRAY and KRAY....the best effect in < time is KRAY!!!

Re: time problem in render
i know itjure wrote:General tab > Cache irradiance OFF

i would like to know under what conditions or not to use the cache irradiance!!

Re: time problem in render
mmm witout cache the render time is + slow!!!!jure wrote:scenes like this - where you have many inter-reflections...

Re: time problem in render
nothink...yesterday i've set kray on my second pc q6600 and from 10 pm to now 10 am i've rendered only one picjure wrote:Hmm try prerender passes set to 1 then.

on i7 i've rendered 3 image in MWR all 4000x2000 px multilight aptived ad 13 SL.
i hope to publishing the image so can see the work.
witout cache irradiance the render time is impossible. now i'm using cache and i've used a kray shader option for small part in crome but time is very very slow....

the big proble is that the client has see the preview in Kray but for tomorrow i think possibl send only render in MWR....the render remaining in kray unaffidable...15 min = 12h it's not possible...delete it in new version please

Re: time problem in render
Could you send me your scene so I can check what's going on? Your render times are way too high.
