Kray grass tests

Hi there! I'm starting some Kray grass. This one is really basic (only 1 color map) and the render is basic photon mapping render (no changes) with sunsky. For now I have two layers of grass (long and short) and one for weed...it's working fine and, I'm sure that with a good lightning and texturing, results could be realistic. But for now my question is about rendertime, this one was almost 48 min...as I didn't use kray for grass instancing, could you tell me if this rendertime is normal? (Computer is a 2.4Ghz quad core Q6600)

By the way, here's a modeler screenshot of the geometry, with the polygons statistic panel, in order to show you the number of polygons involved in this grass :)

Did You put QMC shader for leafs? I use 100/0.

Hi! I'm still a Kray newbie, but I guess that QMC is Cache Irradiance turned OFF ? I've tried this and got this picture in 12 min! :D (Plus this is photonmapping, previous one was lightmap). I'm a bit surprised cause in the Kray tips and tricks, it's said that Uncached Irrandiance get good results but with long rendertime...anyway that a nice tips!

Otherwise, is the QMC shader part of the Kray Surface Options shader? (sorry for the newbie question!)
