lightening up shadow

hi

if i am using physky, is there a way to soften or lighten up the shadow? i dont want to use native light tool to adjust shadow darkness, but is there a way to do that using physky? thanks

The bottom two parameters control intensity of sun light and softness of the shadow (>1 softer).

Jure, what i mean is when an object cast a shadow using physky, the shadow itself is too dark. i didnt mean how to soften the edge of the casted shadow. example if i am using native LW light, i can even change the colour of the shadow to, just an example, red or blue or green and also from dark to light. thanks

Well there is no control for color of the shadow in Kray since Kray is based around photo realistic rendering. So if your shadow is too dark you need to think about why is it too dark? Is it because your materials are too dark? The light is not bouncing enough to lightetn up the shadow. Think about how you would deal with this in real life photography. Often photographers use extra lights or bounce cards to brighten up shadow areas...

Another (although not physically correct) way is to increase photon power number. This bounces indirect light more... So you have quite a lot of options to deal with your situation...
