Big talent in archviz
Big talent in archviz
I just got this link sent to me and some of the best CG archviz I have seen. It is a little slow at the start but well worth looking at for inspiration.

Jaaaaaw dropping animation!!!!
We see how important compositing is!!!
You can make great images, but without good compositing, it doesn't look real or good.
I'm really amazed... Porbably the most realistic ANIMATED archviz I've ever seen...

Re: Big talent in archviz
Movies also have lots of realistic animated archiviz. Set extensions have been around for a long time. They are always heavily composited. Trying to render one good image in one pass is ok but its hard to use for animation. That's why I think kray should be more compositing friendly so we can have more control in post. Exr support is another one I'm hoping kray will have.khan973 wrote:Jaaaaaw dropping animation!!!!

Absolutely Stunning! Everything is on such a high level, where does one begin to pay compliment. Just truly amazing work.

Re: Big talent in archviz
Just saw the breakdown. The actual renders look ok but after compositing it looks so good. This is why compositing is so needed!!
60-80% can be done in 3d and the next is done in post which give it depth and impact.

Re: Big talent in archviz
I saw this....hmmm
20% render, 80% "painting"
...and nice trick: when You have animation and dynamic DoF renders looks moore realistic and deep.
I know this looks great but : THIS IS NO MAGIC
just perfect good composition ...
btw. don`t ask this man how looks renders oryginaly

Re: Big talent in archviz
haha. then that makes compositing even more important right johny? Do it in 3d or do it in post.
But the end product is all that matters. Support for good compositing techniques is crucial.
Saves rendertime, rerendering over and over, and some things are just better to do outside 3d.

Agreed. That's all the audience, client, etc. care about.geo_n wrote:But the end product is all that matters.

Re: Big talent in archviz
Hello. This is my first post so hello everybody. Sorry for my english.
I have seen the video and i have try to do somethig "similar" to one frame i get from the movie. Only 10 min of work, maybe i spent another 10 min tomorrow and try to make it more similar with the details missed. I post the original and "my cheap version". I hope you like it.

Re: Big talent in archviz
very simple texture. give me a minute and i post a pic with the settings and the images i use
Re: Big talent in archviz
I am far from being good with textures or something in 3d. I am sure you can get the texture in a better way. I also dont know very well how to use kray for example for making that the light source match better the way it looks in the original frame. But here it is. i have attached the surface and the images i use. If you try something that looks better please explain how you get it and the problems you find in my texture.
Thanks.
