Cummunity Room in apartment building.

Post by vpii »

Just finished this. Rendered final over 6000 wide and only took a little over 4 hours on core2 quad.

Regards

Very nice! I like the light and materials.

I notice some strange glowing on the ceiling of the far wall though.

Thanks Jure. Do you mean glow at ceiling on far wall?

Yes where the wall meets ceiling, the ceiling looks very bright while the wall has darker shadow to it.

The fireplace looks good to me though!

i like the amount of light in the picture.

Some crits:

i cant seem to figure out the time of day (without the view outside i would say its a nightshot, because its rather evenly lit)

the two round footbenches/tables are exactly alike (!), you should either rotate one of them or set world coordinates on for the textures (depending on how they are textured)

the stone wall containing the fireplace looks awfully flat and the mapping is wrong on the corner, especially because its being lit one would expect more shadowwork so maybe it could use the relief node to give it actual depth (kray supports it, right?) and corresponding shadows.

But in general its a good picture :)

Really solid work vpii! Sounds silly, but I really like the wood floor texture. Only critic would be that it might be too evenly lit (i.e. not enough contrast), but for these kinds of stuff (commercial work) they still work well. Over all...good job.

Realy good render! . Why? Becouse after render You received good source for PS.
It is a bit overbright ceiling (too low contrast: light from windows-ceiling area, looks occlusion)
