Re: meeting room
Nice render, but you have splotches on the ceiling in the corners.
IES are very simple to use with Lightwave 9.6.
Just open Photometric light and get the IES file. That's all

Re: offices
Nice, but brrr, too cold, is it occupied by humanoids like Cylons?
Alittle bit of warmth would be welcome. Natural light doesn't look like that.

Really nice job, just the light band on the side that looks weird and the antialiasing is not the best but its good good work man!

Re: lighting inteior
It mostly depends on which type of render you want. If you want something natural, just try to simulate real light colors, intensity but if you want something that looks like professional interior pictures, you need more lights like a photographer would do with flashes or lights. And those are place...

Re: Product design render
Yes, they are great machines! The coffee is just a little bit expensive for us non-sleeping buddies!
It is solidworks for most parts. I had to rebuild some parts with Rhino. I tried to get only quands, but surfaces were crappy, so I just took those triangles.

Re: Product design render
Thanks Jure! I had some parts, but it needed some recreations from scratch for some parts or cleaning. The alpha channel is not really accurate, it doesn't take in account the oobjects that are behind and opaque. If my object is 50% transparent and there is a wall behind, it will show the transparen...

Product design render
Hello, I've been doing a few test renders with Kray, but mostly on Arch interiors. I got back into objects and here is my second object rendering with Kray. I'm pretty happy with the results. Too bad Kray isn't ready yet for comp work, because for the whole animation (1575 frames) i will have to use...
Re: Presets
I agree, that's why it's important to get presets, lots of materials ans tutorials. If I was better at optimizing scenes I would have made some. A lot of people are hobbyists, ar intermediate users and they need things that are easy. I like to think, otimize, understand, but many people don't want t...
Presets
Hi guys, Today, one of our interns showed me a website where you can download Vray materials. I was amazed, pissed, surprised and all at the same time. They have TONS of Materials, and they are good quality materials, they actually look real. It seems like people just have to get pre maid objects, u...

Re: *** Kitchen Kray ***
Nice renders, but your white look grey, even those that are supposed to be pure white (exterior).
And watch out for your Z-depth aliasing (assuming that's the way you got your DOF) because it creates jagged edges (ie. the basis of the glass).
