You can probably add it to the whole trees without problems.

Re: Another "help to improve" topic
Brownie: The scene itself looks ok to me but it seems like you are using a low density image as your environment/reflectionmap. That's why the highlights in your metal and porcelain are blue but they usually are white or blown out. If you use a HDRI instead i bet that scene will look much more eye c...

Re: first rendering
For a first render it looks awesome! I think it needs much higher sampler values for the blurred reflections. That's why it looks a bit grainy. Try to add to kray's footer importancegammamultiplier 1.4; and then tweak blurring threshold min rays to 5000 and max rays to 100000.

In lightwave, under render globals you can set which render engine to be the default one.

Under final gather tab in Kray gui you can find "passes" that earlier was named as "steps".

Re: Speed up AA on objects
Hi SAT, You dont mention if you are using Kray surface options on your trees or not? If you dont use it, very much Finalgather rays will be fired and that is what can cause the slow render times/Antialiasing. Do an experiment and try low values of finalgather Min=10/max=40 and UNCACHED, on your leav...

Re: help on fresnel effect on glass
Hi Jdomingo,
Also turn off doublesided property of the glass. If you use Jures glass preset im pretty sure you see a speed improvement.
Tell us how it goes.

Re: help on fresnel effect on glass
For testrenders i think you have quite high settings.
Choose "General/render preset/Low for a start. Also turn off Antialiasing or atleast dont use fullscreen AA for tests.
Under finalgather tab, choose Minrays/maxrays 50/250.
What cpu are you using?

Re: help on fresnel effect on glass
If you do a search on "contact shadows" in this forum you will get several pages where it is discussed and further explained.
I hope that helps. If you still cant get a hang of it, upload a simple scene where you have these problems so we can point out how to improve it.
