post antialiasing with lightwave (PLD)
excerpt from Lightwave manual: "PLD takes information about how the edges in the scene fall onto the lattice of output pixels. The pixel lattice is then deformed and realigned to best represent the underlying geometry. This generally helps with edges in images and textures. One limit to this me...

the difference of rendertimes is probably because each scene has different light and surface settings and the more simple the scene becomes by surface and lighting tweaking the lower quality settings kray requires in order to produce a nice and smooth image. the rendertimes may differ but each rende...

you could buy realflow that costs only about 3000euros and exports sequences of meshes or you could learn to use the blender which is free and open source and has a great fluid physics engine and of course i am just kidding. you can just build a mesh for the sprayed water maybe one for each jet/spur...

Thank you guys. jure, i read your post about geometry cleaning and i unified two polygons since everything else was ok but those bright dots are still there. i could post the scene to the bug section but bright dots dont occur without textured surfaces. as for the tone mapping, i rendered to hdr and...

OB2 test wip
We bought kray this week and this is a test with OB2.
rendertimes are around seven minutes on a Pentium M 1.4 laptop (which i find quite impressive
)
btw,what causes those bright dots at some edges of the floor?is there a workaround?

a suggestion about the manual
i just have a suggestion that i wanted to share with you. it seems to me, by looking at the forums and the chapters of the incomplete 1.7 manual, that instead of trying to write down a manual, you people try to put together a complete set of tutorials with examples, screenshots and renders which is ...
