Woohoo!

Any solution to the black bugs yet? They are really causing problems with animations.

No more black dots/bugs as far as we know. If you have any scene causing black bugs we are happy to receive it.

Yes, I have noticed, none for me now either!

The black bug being solved plus + improved photonhit ratio + not as many light leaks have really made this the best OB release for me, great job guys!

Speed isn't as big a concern for me when theres ugly bugs/errors on my renders.

Thanks again for the work guys!

What about white dots?

Could you give an example? I can think of white dot's together with low values of Direct light/reflections/blurred reflections/bad AA etc.

Except: Could you be so kind and upload the scene/data here or email me the scene so i can take a look at it what's causes it? Crapmess@bredband.net
I could count to 3-4 small dot's in the image and im curious what they are.

Yeah, or one thousand :)

This is something else though, I think.

I'll email you the scene. Can't post it as it's proprietary.

Check your mail exception. Part of what i wrote so others will benefit of it:
It's your arealight reflecting in the surface.
Turn of "Area light visibility" Under quality tab and the noise should be gone. I think this is kind of a bug or more precise it's a tweak of Krays adaptive bluring that we need to change a bit to get a better result. Also switch Kray to Luminosity modell=indirect to gain a little cleaner look.

Edit: There is also a problem with the bed it'self. It's the morphtargets or it's UV map causing the bed to flicker alot.

Oh, I just checked my animation and it has black bugs, seems like they are still aroud guys.

It happens only where its looking through a window at the pool. So as before, transparency and reflection is causing it.

Is there a fix for this coming up soon? And perhaps the dissolve envelopes?
That's a pretty big roadblock for me currently.

Do you really have to ask that? :D Ofcourse we will fix it but i cant get you a date since Grzegorz have to finish sdk for virtualrender first. Thanx for letting me peek at your scene and it showed a severe bug we wasn't aware of so this shows how dependant we are of everyones help. For now i would say Morphtargets are a no go so i would advice you to animate it with normal keyframing/scale/size/rotate to get it to work.
