Kray3SurfacePhotonN error

Post by vgabex » Thu Oct 12, 2017 12:21 pm

- Open Modeler
- Create a ball
- Try to add Kray3SurfacePhotonN as a surface shader
- Modeler 2015.1 (Win64) gives this error: Cannot aquire 'LW Timer' global

If you add the Kray3SurfacePhotonN shader to any surface in the layout, and then switch to modeler, the same happens.

I'd like to create a lamps with small, but strong Lumi-bulbs, and don't want to rise Luminosity to extreme level (2-3000%)

Or is it OK to use very-very high luminosity values? How this affect noise and rendertime?

This option is not yet in developing (and maybe will be not).
You can use easy 2000-3000% luminosity - K3 has very good PM engine (no errors, fantastic gradient) but what you will do with reflection?
...better is create Lem Bulb 500% and add around this just put simple Spherical Light (like everybody does everywhere)

Nice image!
