override surface flag

Post by katsuy »

hi a quick question
is it possible to override surface settings selectively.. ie can you just keep transparent surface intact and override others to a diffuse grey?
in a related topic is this possible in lw natively? if not what workaround is there?
i was thinking perhaps using the preset shelf with a library but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to replace all surface setting at once :(

thank you for the help

Yes this will be possible in 1.7 OB3...

There is no setting for this in LW9+. You could do it with nodes though. Have a separate node that you just connect to output when you need it...

Currently some ncie new features are being added. After this is done new OB will probably be released and then it will be only bug fixing and stability testing untill release.
I can't say how much it will take Grzegorz to release new OB though... But it shouldn't take long...
