Restaurant concept

Post by vgabex »

My newest WIP work. Colours are a bit undersaturated, because my client will show it in ipad or tablet (=oversaturated screens)
Furnitures & lamps are real products. 3D models were provided by the manufacturers.
Render time is 3h on i7 4770K + 32Gb ram

Good materials  that's the key...
Did you tried Ani Reflection Node? - it will boost realism on the floor.

Not yet. Is there any sample on this forum how it works and how to setup? Or maybe a full sfr?

It was in sub forum about Nodes. Here example:

Setup is very easy: you have two directions of blur, horizon and vertical. Of course you can attach texture to both reflection channels and get much better simulation but for that before you must prepare input reflection by color tool Node.

This is the most important physical reflection effect. It should be apply almost everywhere: floor, concrete, blurred reflection surfaces. In your case on the floor because reflection from lamp is not natural in traditional way.

@janusz I did some experiment with ani-reflections but sometimes I found incrementally slow, probably I connect the node in the wrong way...

@vgabex Is the glass on the chandelier real approximation or a fake one? It looks good but also super sloow. I bet you can render the scene without the candeliers in less than 30 minutes, they probably takes all the calculation :D

Of course is slow because this is realistic simulation. This lamp glass you can render fast with limiter system in Nodes.
