Museum Test

Post by geo_n »

I try out exponential render and the other is lwf gamma 2.2 which looks a bit bluish from skydome. They have same setting though looks very different.
What is advantage between the two?
I back read most thread looking for kray tips and compiled in one doc. Maybe someone will find it useful. Its still relevant to RC4 I think. :P

I think that first render is better. More contrast. I like.
Second render is too washed (but great render
however!!)

I like the 1º too.
Exponential make color and contrast more balanced.
Gamma adda so much ambient color to difusse and tint all with this. Nice to make some ambients but not for photographics results to print i think

Thanks guys. The first is lwf gamma. Its tinted blue but the contrast is better. And surface shader to reduce blue tinti?
Maybe I can get the exponential to have better contrast somehow.

I like first one better. It has better reflections and less yellow color cast.

Cant check you attached image , so little to see details of bones.
But in your image you have much contrast in the BG FG color of bone i think.

This is you are trying to do?

Ok, you need to make more smooth the color transition, to remove the lunarity. If are using procedural reduce contrast. And change the yellow to more brown.
