Post by vgabex »

Hi!

After using the needbuffers -1; command, how should I combine these chanels in Photoshop to match the original render?

Thx

Make sure you render to HDR.

In CS3 "Deluxe," make sure you stay in 32-bit mode.

Layer it up like this

-Reflections : Linear Dodge
-Transparency : Linear Dodge
-Textures : Multiply
GROUP:
--Direct illumination : Linear Dodge
--Indirect illumination : Normal

The layers aren't named like this by default. I can't remember how they're named, so just look at them to determine what they contain.

In ordinary Photoshop, you cannot actually composite them so they look like the original render. This is because Photoshop is not actually a compositing application.
