Living room

Post by phile_forum »

This is the latest charrette over at 3dAllusions.com (thread, downloads & credits here).

30 mins on my quad core. A little postwork in LW (better bloom, vignetting by real lens camera) and then some brightness/colour correction.

Just tried out Johnny Quick's tailer commands to oversample this scene (prerender 1,4,0.1;gradients_neighbour 0.1), and reduced FG rays to min200, max 400.

Blimey!

Oversampling will be added to GUI as it also is in for example blender/yafray but they call it refinement. Read more at http://wiki.yafray.org/bin/view.pl/User ... ayLighting

Here are a couple more shots with oversampling. Lovely velvety shadows.

Interesting - I actually sharpened these after rendering because I like them like that - maybe I overdid it. Here they are again without the sharpening applied. AA is quasi-random 10,50 fullscreen. Mitchell filter. There is also some slight DOF.
