I have the long awaited 9.6 installed however I seem to be missing something! The external renderer tab seems to be missing from the render globals dialogue box. Also when I render frame from Kray, all I get is a standard lightwave render, incidentley I tried Fprime and this crashed instantly!! Has anyone else had the same experience?

Sorry Jure, but after performing a clean 9.6 install and kray 2.0RC1, I still get what it is reported here…
EDIT: I have just discovered a rev1 in the ordering section. I am going to try with it.

I'm not sure what you mean with kray/LW window....

What you need to do is:
if you are on LW9.6: copy appropriate Kray.p from "LW9.6" folder to your plugins dir and *.ls from "commons" dir

if you are on LW9.5: copy appropriate Kray.p from "LW9.5" folder to your plugins dir and *.ls from "commons" dir

Once inside LW add kray.p and *.ls plugins and open up Kray GUI and press "Render frame". In LW9.6: if you don't set any output filename the final rendered image will be sent to LW Image Viewer.

You'll find it in LW's render globals window.

Make sure that you are using the 9.6+ version of Kray and obviously LW9.6 as the external renderer is not available on another version of LW.

Sometimes it may take a restart of LW to get the option to display in render globals.
