using the needbuffers alpha in photoshop

Post by _mats_ »

Hi everyone, its me with another question

this is not Kray related per se, but I couldnt google it anywhere.

How can I combine both RGB and Alpha layers from Kray in Photoshop, so it becomes like a normal PNG24 or TGA32 render with alpha? in other words I tried to copy and paste the black and white matte into a new alpha channel but its not working? just so I have a perfect alpha behind the render

oh, the glass still shows as 100% transparent but I can deal with that in PS until that gets fixed :)

Thanks a million !

open the rgb image, go to channel and add new empty channel, open alpha file, select all, copy, paste in empty channel..

voila, thats it! (and probably thats what you did)

ps: -in multilayer rgb file you need to select background layer before you can paste into empty alpha channel.
-rgb channels need to be displayed in channels i think also

cheers
