Artistic Living Pt. 2

Post by Pheidian »

Ok, here's another one based on a photograph from a design book. I kinda like this one better, of course getting better in Kray skills too, but these are fun projects both. The GI quality could be better, some splotches here and there, but I'll re-render this anyway under the newer beta...

Just realised been running the old 6.1 instead of 6.5 for all these renderings. Well, gotta test the speed of this in 6.5 now.

Render time for this image was 1h 25 minutes. Feel free to comment on it!

Thanks!

Yea it's definitely getting better all the time. Have to admit, I've been checking Kray for just a month or so (never heard of it before), and I got interested at once about it. So I bought it 2 weeks ago and here are the latest results... So it's quite "logical" in means of lightning and design, just few things you need to pay attention and play around with to get the hang of what produces good results in relatively low render times...

It's different from other LW renderers, so it takes a little effort to get into it, but definitely worth it!

Killer render Pheidian. Seems like you're getting the hang of Kray just fine. Like I mentioned to you via PM, I've just purchased Kray, & looking at your stuff, I hope my learning curve is as quick as yours. Very nicely done.

Thanks guys! Hopefully I can post some commercial stuff here in the near future done with Kray, not just these test images...

Though with the test images I can do just what I want (usually commercial archviz has to be brighter and not so contrasty etc)
