Help with animation

Post by vpii »

Can any of you experts in Kray post some generic settings for animation for interiors. I have not been having good luck so far. Looking for balance of speed and quality.

Thanks

I've been successful in getting decent render times/ quality for animation by saving GI for every Nth frame, normally every 15th with a slow moving camera. Then rendering out the full sequence in load mode with Prerender at 0% and fg rays min & max at '0' to stop additional GI being calculated. I'm not that on top of Krays AA yet but the preset medium normally gives good results.

Hope this is of some use.

edit: Just to make it clear that I'm no Kray genius
I'm sure there are lots of great tips which could be more useful.

Thanks for the reply, how about FG and Photon tabs any good suggestions there?

If you are talking settings for the GI file generation I really think it's scene dependant, if you post some info on the scene some of the regular posters on here would probably point you in the right direction.

It has not been easy for me getting use to Kray. Asked a few members here for help with no reply. Thanks Haven 1000 for your help. Here is a frame of what I finally came up with. Just had to do something right or wrong to move forward.
