Kray and butterflynetrender (and others)

Post by Fabian-Eshloraque »

Hi Guys,

We just bought Kray yesterday and I'm a bit stuck on the distributed rendering. I should paste the kray license into my plugin directories, so this is the Key_kray.txt?

We use BNR @eshloraque with 11.6 LW. I was able to set this up a couple of years ago with LW9.6. But I forgot how to do it...

Thx!

Hi Guys,

Can it be that the kray license file needs to have a specific name? Cause we only had a serial to copy paste?

kray license should be in network render software folder.

Also is good when You asking about network rendering because soon I will start new topic with network rendering connected with company from http://www.GarageFarm.net. This company is very professional and has good prices. Grzegorz always support people which are professional (in this case this company) why they will have our technical support on the forum.

No special setup. Kray doesn`t have installation procedures - is enough to add Kray as plug-in module.
Kray licence in txt file copy/paste - it should be kray_key.txt in network installation folder with plug-ins.

Did you selected Output files and path from Lightwave?
I think on BNR page is tutorial how to setup all (LW and Kray)

Hi,

So Paul Lord gave me the solution.

You have to copy the kray_key.txt into _NETRENDER\lw11_64intel\programs where _NETRENDER is the folder I made on the shared drive and \programs contains the exe's and the .cfg files.

Maybe we could make a note of it in the wiki?

Thx!

I remembered folder but exactly where not :)
I think it was a couple times at forum. I will check KrayWiki.
