Re: New Wip ...
for me:
1- too flat grass
2- too clean all surfaces
3- flip poly cars because i don't see shadows!
4- too similar trees
5- add background
6- too synthetic people
7- too dark shadows and too flat render
8- too poor reflect glass and too yellow
9- non gradient in surfaces

Re: New Wip ...
ok those are all valid points. But the image is not all bad. I think the general lighting is good and background buildings look good too.

Thanks for those comments, as sonn as i applied them i'll post the renders with the changes...
Re: New Wip ...
As you have mentioned it's a wip so I am expecting a nice final render after all the good advices from the other users.
I would like to add a suggestion, please change the camera position, you'll get a much nicer result from somewhere near the eye level.
Also, if you keep the 3d people put them faraway from the camera, try inside the building to get a more look alive feeling without revealing to much detail.

Ok, I don't know what your settings are - looks like a very small, very bright area light - but there's waaaaay too much direct lighting in that image - and harsh! It looks like the sun has turned into a blue giant or something... it's an interesting effect actually, but generally the clients tend to want more reassuring, pink-tinted sunlight
There's also something I don't quite understand going on - the tiny white stripes in the shadow areas? What's that? They're superimposed to the central tree as well - weird.
As per the image in itself - those cars don't look good. Nevermind the two identical FIATs which I'm sure you'll move, but they all have the same overblown interior (still a consequence of the lighting, I presume) and they're too reflective. Oh and they're bottomless
The three trees to the right... you're going to change those, right? When you do, make them a little smaller perhaps, they're way too big for the small space they're in and they make it look sad and abandoned. Also, the palm trees need a little ground to grow from - as it is now they seem to be planted straight into the pavement, which I suppose is not the case. And finally, the background building to the far right also seems to be "just there" - it needs some pavement, a sidewalk, the usual stuff, and it desperately needs some windows
It also looks like your asphalt material has very high spec and very low gloss, which is generally not the case... but having said all that, I really like the overall feel of the image. It's- different! That steely sky has an almost cyberpunk quality to it...
