Benchmark

Post by NiGMa »

Hello,

Could we somehow have a standard scene that everyone could download and use as a benchmark, so we can compare our computer speeds? It would have to be a render that is a real job, not just silly objects, some kind of big room, with furniture would be good. Can anyone supply one?

Than we can compare when 1.7 comes out too. Everyone would have to leave all the settings unchanged from whoever created the scene. I have a feeling my computer is slow somehow, my renders take days!

We could see what has the most impact on performance and which CPU AMD or INTEL is better with kray. What do you think?

Great idea! I personally wote for the Howard B room full of clutter stuff, furnitures, blurred reflections etc.. Im a bit unsure but think it's in the range on 1 million polys and just one window wich skylight/sunlight comes in from.
i render that scene in less than x minutes in latest beta ;) (nope wount tell ya yet hehe) Anyone else have scene suggestions?
