I think virtual world is now very possible and easier with new game engine tools. I tried rtre before but was not impressed.
Anyway to continue, Unity3d indie is now free. The most userfriendly and mainstream game engine backed up Apple so you know it will be good and excellent marketting. I've been playing around with it and already have a few ideas. Since kray is very fast gi render I am sure kray users would be interested in unity3d kray workflow to get the best setup. A potentially very good tool for presenting to clients and it is playable in internet browsers.
Check it out. Loading is very slow but if this was deployed on an exe file on a cd it would be fast.
