You must do it in post.
As I was typing the question, that's what I thought too.

What you can do is put a transparent polygon in front of the camera and used nodes to gamma adjust its transparency. This is only good for previews, though, and should be removed for the final render or else the antialiasing will be incorrect.

There are several ways to get FPrime to do tone mapping:

- You can render out normally and then tonemap in Photoshop or some such. Image -> Adjustment -> Exposure, set the Gamma to 2.2.

- Or you can turn OFF the gamma for your monitor. This is a bit more work, though.

- Or you can use my node-based method:
Create a flat polygon right in front of the camera. In the Node Editor for the surface, add a Refraction node from Shaders -> Refractions. Leave all the settings at the default. Plug its output into Michael Wolf's Color Corrector node ( http://www.db-w.com/component/option,co ... nfo/id,46/ ) and adjust the gamma. In order for this to work, you have to have ray traced refractions turned on, and you HAVE to turn off the layer in the scene editor before rendering in Kray.
Edit: Sort of like Weepul suggested. :p

This is all to make FPrime useful for testing approximate lighting & textures, correct?

Well...I'd still like to see a real-time previewer from integrated to Kray. Not just to make things easier for those who have fPrime, but as a selling tool for Kray for those who don't have fPrime. :D
