Re: kray grass test animation gi flickers

You are missing the first tab, with the cache irradiance settings. You should have the sharing of Gi "Shared for all frames" and mode next to it checked as "update". Seems your Gi is calculating each frame differently, which causes the flicker. it's got nothing to do with the AA ...

Re: Price about 3d work (architectural) ?

Jure: the good business is to pay low money for workers and charge big, but you knew it right? :)

Seriously, the money I calculate is income for the company, not money for individuals, since I'm trying to form a real long term growing business, not just making money for living...

Re: Price about 3d work (architectural) ?

Well, if you're calculating your prices like I am, with 65 euros / hour rate and work fast, you can get pretty decent money without charging "per image high price". We are said to be doing work quite cheap, but it's reality that we can create it fast and without losing our own time for doi...

Re: Exterior

yea, this is going in to nitpicking already, since the stuff is now getting damn nice! I mean not talking about grass as small detail, but the whole image and it looks excellent!

Re: Exterior

As we speak, I'm rendering a little test animation of this test scene. We also have coming up some more exteriors, but cannot show at this point...

Re: Exterior

heheh, it's great to see that people are starting to arque about the snow stoppers, rather than some real critics, which will show it's quite close to being a good Kray exterior... ;) ok, this is coming very close as we have tweaked this stuff with Johny and Jure (those guys have a grass competition...

Re: Exterior

One comment btw on the critics there was... there is NO photographic elements in the image (except for the sky of course), but every tree and leaf and detail you see, is 3D, not after ward edited or photograph... (like the trees in the horizon are real geometry)

Re: Exterior

Hey! I think Johny did little too much post processing on these images, since the renders straight from Kray with just minor tweaking of light balance is good. This is little "over the top" for me too :) But hey, it's all about the fast grass now as Johny explained, and you CAN make exteri...

Re: liking the new kray site

I really gotta say I hate the new forum, it's too spread out, should have some control of the width... I mean for 30 inch monitor with relatively big res this is annoyingly spread out to the whole screen...

Hey, care to show example so we can see what you mean? Maybe refraction makes the surrounding "reflections" more heavier and turns them someway...

Re: Learning Kray still

It is actually a production of me and Johny Quick. :) The render looks good btw, but I'm not seeing any contact shadows in the chairs hitting the ground, maybe they are too much inside the floor? Also the low resolution carpet makes it hard to see that... Wood texture is a bit low res too on the she...

My guess would be, that the OB8 has the KrayPhotonnumberMultiplier shader / motion modifier that you have to use in every ligh to balance the photons between interior lights...

Check that, if you rendered this before with OB7...
