Re: some shots exterior project.

These are awesome, I really like the street shot, but you need more variation in cars I think.

Re: Exterior Node test

Janusz, you said you use the ee-grit node all the time, but then you went on to show a similar effect using the edge node. Which is it?

Are there any surfaces available of yours that already contain both techniques and can I download them to examine?

Re: Making dirt in the fresnel/reflection

Can I ask what will seem like a dumb question? What is doing the job of reflection blur in these set ups?

Re: Making dirt in the fresnel/reflection

I don't know if I made the set up better, you tell me. My thinking was to keep the diffuse exactly the reverse of what is going into the reflection.

Re: kray 3.0 preview

I really do think a few words by the developers on the main page about the progress of Kray 3 are warrented by now. You'll have a product but no interest if someone doesn't attend to promotion at least on the most basic level.

Seems the Gallery has beened spammed.

A bunch of repetitive new entries in the gallery are spam. Please deal with this as it is a bad sign.

Dome light or Spot light for Sun?

Currently using a Dome light for my Sun because it is a Lightwave scene I'm trying to adapt to Kray. But should I instead use a spotlight and do the Spot to Area trick described in the Tips and tricks section? It's a space scene so not your usual Kray subject matter. There will only be the one light...

Re: Does Kray hate JPG's?

Actually, just to be clear, does this mean I should do this to all image maps in my scene (turn off Mipmap quality and pixel blending) when working with Kray? Actually I suspect the main culprit is MipMap quality. And when you said I should set everything to linear, do you mean all the image maps as...

Re: Does Kray hate JPG's?

I'm sorry Janusz, I was in the process of stripping the scene down to the one problematic element ready to send you when I discovered that I just had to turn off pixel blending and mipmap quality for the earth texture, and now renders clear. Thanks for caring.

Re: Does Kray hate JPG's?

Janusz, I tried to post the scene but it was too big. Could it be that the Earth image is 16 MB in size? It's that large JPG that NASA released recently and I need it big for reason of resolution. Does Kray have a limit in size of images?

Does Kray hate JPG's?

I just installed my copy of Kray into 11.5 and was testing a scene I've been working on using the native render engine. It's a space scene with no lights and just using a sun image for lighting. Render times were very impressive with Kray so I'm now considering using it for this project, but I have ...
