Re: mediteranean villas

Hi, ... For me the biggest drawback of Kray-instancing is the Placement method that is used. In all this examples "big" chunks of gras-patches were used and this makes it hard in placing complex shapes of lawn, mostly the borderlines. Futhermore the Point-placement method works only with ...

Re: mediteranean villas

great work jure!! it's just a pity that the postproduction isn't at the level of your images. i'm especially shaked by the 'interior' sound of the presentation guy :D

i like the grass as well, but also johny's is great! johny, remember: the neighbors grass is always greener! :)

Re: bathroom

this is a very good rendering! i really love it as it is, apart the chromatic aberration effect (this is starting to become something like the lens flare effect in the 90s...) - any professional photographer would look to reduce this effect to a minimum or to use it in a purely creative way. cheers ...

Re: Fry Swap - interesting feature

if you read a bit inside their forums you will find many limitations of this new technique. for example, more than one rendering is required to make this technique work... from the fry forum: "As explained in the manual, in this version (1.0) you can only swap -one- object simultaneously. We ha...

Re: BIG Lightning Challenge for K Ray

someone started already to do so:

http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.ph ... tcount=173

btw. it's always the artist, not the engine ;)

(for example, see this amazing rendering http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.ph ... tcount=148 made with c4d + vray)

Re: Exterior test

Re: Exterior test

Yes :D But this is only test of Power Shader on Sun light. This shader decrese stronge light from objects, but still make good bounce light with colour information. Water is flat - just bump map texture used. Ofcoarse this is next test version of my grass (grass have only one texture, basic setup s...

Re: Exterior test

mies van der rohe would not like it, hehe... funny idea to make the barcelona pavillon a sort of garden furniture market exhibition, nevertheless!! yes ok, it's just a test, but johny, you can do better texturing than this! especially, have a look at the veins in the travertine stones on pavement an...

Re: Price about 3d work (architectural) ?

Something else which I believe should be considered when pricing, but I don't think has been mentioned in this thread, is, prices will vary, not just because of your location/ economy but because of the standard of work which you produce. The more experienced/ talented you are the more you can expe...

Re: Price about 3d work (architectural) ?

Well, if you're calculating your prices like I am, with 65 euros / hour rate and work fast, you can get pretty decent money without charging "per image high price". We are said to be doing work quite cheap, but it's reality that we can create it fast and without losing our own time for do...

Re: Stair view

almost perfect... ;) the only thing, but probably this is dictated by the client... personally, i do not like the image format and orientation. the stair theme would rather suggest a 'portrait' or vertical oriented format to give the image a bit more depth. the ceiling is cut off too soon, in genera...
