Re: 1001
Given the quality of the plugin, there should be a lot more users! I really like the quality I get for the speed I get - beats Vray for me. Let's hope Kray continues to grow and improve. By the way, is there a roadmap with upcoming changes and timings? It would be nice to have some things to dream a...

Re: about a table
Very beautiful in every aspect - I don't even see any problem with the rendering quality. I'm curious: what is the name of that table (or it's designer)?
Ciao,

p.s. Is it just me or is it very quite on the forums the last month???

Re: just do lighting
The first and the third image look nice, but the second looks terrible! It has the look of a collage of different elements where shadows don't mix and match, and light doesn't appear to bounce of surfaces. Plus, almost everything seems to be all diffuse and no specular/reflection. Don't get me wrong...

I agree. Always render clean. Post-process later!

Re: Is Lightwave Glow capable in Kray?
Or make an action an do batch processing in Photoshop. Really, you shouldn't do glow in the final render. If it turns out too much in the render you need to do the whole animation render again, if it's wrong in postproduction you just adjust the parameter and rerender in seconds.

Re: test interior
It looks good, but there's something weird about the floor bump map. If the tiles really have such a wide inclined edge it will be a nightmare to clean because all the water will collect in the ridges

Re: Wine bottles
Janusz, I'm consfused. You say: "btw DIELECTRIC This is perfect Node very fast and realistic , but with some "bugs" which Kray can not accept (white light leak) I very suggest use Dielectric ... but still we have problems under render." Help me out here: are you saying we should ...

Re: Wine bottles
Wow! That's really good results and rendertime. I tried Dielectric last month but gave up because it was soooo slow in native LW. I didn't know Kray rendered Dielectric as well. Too bad there's just no decent way to render caustics in LW. I don't supposed you feel like sharing the scene so we can le...

Re: Wine bottles
Very nice. Two questions:
1) What was the rendertime (at what resolution)?
2) What material setup did you use? Dielectric? Nodes? Just plain old LW channels with gradients on incidence angle?
Thanks for the info!

Re: fprime compare to kray
Well, I for one LOVE Kray! We use fprime here as well, and it's good for product shots, but for interiors Kray beats fprime and Lightwave native every time. We also tried Vray once, but I hate how difficult it is to set up. Kray for the world!

13 minutes a frame sounds like very little time for flickerfree GI-rendered animation! Lucky you!

Re: health center
Agreed: if the light on the wall is overblown, then the light source itself should be even more overblown, if not - as here - it ruins the realism.

Re: Shop viz
Hey there! I'm working on a lot of cool stuff for major brands (check out www.pinkeye.be if you want to see some of our work), and doing a lot of Kray work since my purchase three months ago - very satisfied customer here. Unfortunately most of it is under NDA. I do plan on showing you some renders ...

But it does work with all Lightwave procedurals? That's cool enough for me!

Re: Node problem....
Kray works with nodes and shaders? Sheesh! I was even toning down on the native LW textures because I didn't know if they would translate properly. Cool!
