I speed-modeled this kettle in modo in about 30 minutes, and rendered it in Kray. Path tracing with irradiance caching, 1500 rays. No anti-aliasing; rendered at 1920x1920 and downscaled. Well i use a gradient in diffuse when the surface is to dark in the shadow or gets to bright in the light. Looking at the last of the nice renderings on the first page it looks like the door is a bit open because of the light coming through visible at the top and the bottom of the left wall. Or is ...

My standart setup kray (only Multiple switch on 1 - in room must use 4 Multiple)

hello Johny, I have download you setting file. but I still confusing about a numeral text that i found when I opened the kray.dat file ( what is this and how to use it ??) and the file with .srf extention, what kind program that we can use to open the file..... thx and sorry for my stupid question....

May I ask a stupid question? When do you normally use a incidence gradient in your diffuse channel? Your last image looks even more photoreal!!! I like it and I wish my work could look that good! I checked your settings and I don't know if this will be any better but you can try this settings instead: FG threshold 0.0 | min 100 | max 2000 spatial tolerance: 0.1 | angle: 80° distance min: 50% | max 5000% B/D: 0% | oversample: 100% OK testet this to night.
