Re: SURFACE SPLIT

I am glad you found it useful; :) .
Free free to share it , but actually most of the script existed already ,
I just put the part that renames the new layers with the surface name.

Re: Archicad 16 -> Lightwave - Workflow

I always model them from the start and I put the geometry that is exported from the cad program (obj , or just 2D plan or views) in the background as a reference. In the end it's always faster because there will be definitely some problem with the imported mesh along the way  This is the case ...

Re: SURFACE SPLIT

Never mind , I made a small lscript that does exactly that (based on an older one by Al Street):

Just put all the mesh on the first empty layer of a new object and run the script , it will split the polygons into layers per surface , and rename the layers with surface name.

SURFACE SPLIT

Does anyone have any free LW plugin or script that splits polygons into different layers per polygon surface.
I searched and couldn't find any.

Thanks

Re: Grass material

Well I don't see any difference.Kray grass seems equal if not better. The lighting in the vray scene makes the difference.

Re: node setup not rendering correctly ?

they had a limited time free offer.
Anyway I played with it today and it is very slow and unstable , not suitable for any serious work.
I guess filterforge is the way to go...

Re: node setup not rendering correctly ?

Hi Janusz ,
your node diagram is too small to see.
if you could share your workflow it would be nice.
I had a look at IFX supreme (which is free) and it looks promising ,but hadn't got the time to look deeper.

Re: node setup not rendering correctly ?

Have you tried with earlier versions of LW?
interesting setup BTW.The ideal would be for randomly choosing an image from a set of images inside node editor.
I think that's what you would want.
