Re: For fun kray 3,035
Hi Thomas, I never meant that Kray should be jack of all trades software but as an ArchViz renderer I think it should be able to produce a larger variety of projects other than the Scandinavian look. You have already mentioned in your first post many of the features that are expected in 2019 from an...

Re: For fun kray 3,035
If you mean that 99% of the renders that clients want are interiors then we are living in very different "everywere".Janusz Biela wrote:...which are 99% of all renders everywhereAVLKray wrote:Well I just wanted to point out that Kray is not only used for interiors as his comment implies

Re: For fun kray 3,035
First things first, my comment was on those particular renders that as the original poster mentioned they were made for fun. Because you can not use those horrible skin renders professionaly. Other software have better opengl look than those renders. Now, a couple of the very few remaining users her...

Re: For fun kray 3,035
For fun it's ok but professionally Kray still can not render anything more than plaster walls.

Re: Interior
K3 offers much better quality than K2. Visualization is basically furnishing. Laying furniture and playing with light. As for other programs, this is corona, C4D or 3dmax. But. Kray is an engine for LW and for LW users. Changing the software is not an easy matter. All the scenes, the parts to which...

Re: K3 - Grass instances
So how can noise in grass be avoided in animations?
Because it is there also in photon map.

Re: Interior
Thank you for your concern by not any stress here since we decided to move on. I keep Kray for older projects that need rerendering when changes are required and for low paying jobs that need fast stills. My only real complain is that if I had known that 2013 "soon" promises would translat...

You will notice horrible noise if you decide to make an animation though.

Re: Interior
All these informations are nice and someone who checks Kray forum knows about them, or at least that you have promised to implement them. BUT what I asked was what is the visual advantage of K3 in this render over K2. You said it yourself that with K2 you get really close (In my opinion you can get ...

Re: Interior
Isn't this quality already achievable with K2 ? What is the visual advantage of K3 in this render? By the way I really like your renders but I think that Kray is holding you back. Sure it renders fast stills of plaster walls interiors but we are in 2018 and you can't render dozens of basic materials...

Re: Human figures in KRAY 3
You have to remember that these super photorealistic works are created by the whole teams of people. Modeler, lighting, animator, postprocess specialist, animator from the face itself, complicated mocap sessions. Plus renderings on computing farms on hundreds of processors in the best quality patht...

Re: K3 test GI
I use Kray 13 years....never had problems in animation: Single/network. Most problems cause not supported third part Nodes which always I worn not to use. Forget use third part Nodes, Forget use LW Shader system Nodes. G. is tired not to have full documentation or missing SDK from them. We DO NOT S...

Re: K3 test GI
Impressive results for just ambient lighting. How about some animations? Will animation in K3 get equal attention as still images are? Kray (K2/K3) is master in animation with very static Photon Map. We work now in this department in K3 - now when core is ready we start release animation procedures...
