Re: convert scene from Kray2
I did, everything was like the original scene. It is lighted by 2 lumi polygons, also there's a distant light valued 0. I also tryied applying 10 to distant light. What it seems is that GI is not working in Kray, but it does in LW since I see it in the VPR. https://ibb.co/mzzDrQM https://ibb.co/GpBS...

convert scene from Kray2
Hi everybody, just downloaded Kary3 demo and was trying to get some renders of an old free scene (Studio Light) released few years ago, for Kray 2.
When I render it doesn't recognize any light. Can you help me please?

Re: Evermotion Archmodels or other .max or .3ds files
Wow, can't believe my eyes! high quality Lightwave models! maybe more catalog in the future... but finally LW is no more the ugly boy of the class!

Re: Your prefered modelling software?
yeah, I think so... moreover it's now 11 years since I started with LW, it was at v.4 more or less. I'm not any "crack" but don't want to waste all these years, I know 3dMax+Vray was a real temptation in the past, but actually with the presence of Kray in the playground things have changed...

Re: Your prefered modelling software?
Yeah, thanks again for your advices master, I did an overview on LWCAD in the past and found it as you say. Really to do only archviz (without exporting plans) is not necessary, if you've got good skills on Modeler. Rhino is other thing, more focused on nurbs, maybe I'm going to re-open some past mo...

Re: Your prefered modelling software?
Thanks guys for your replys. I'm with you Janusz, the player makes always the diference (you specially!), but talking about flexible and precise industrial design, well, simply LW wasn't done for that. I love LW, but its goal is different. I used Rhino in the past, working for some industrial design...

Your prefered modelling software?
How it sounds! What do you prefer for modelling: lightwave, modo, rhino, other? Of course lightwave is so fast, but sometimes it's difficult to reach precise industrial forms. Do you remember a tutorial from the nineties by Thomas Suurland? modelling the New Beetle in Rhino?, it's out of his site ac...

Re: Fabienne Bulle Architect _ DRPJ project
Very clean the look used for the people, kind of semi translucent glass. What about animation? Did you use any library or you did your own motion captures? Thanks

Evermotion Archmodels or other .max or .3ds files
Has anyone try any of the Archmodels collections of Evermotion? What was your workflow to import the models into Lightwave-Kray? Mine is exporting as .obj from 3DMax and then opening (not importing) the .obj into Lightwave, but only one black surface appears with no settings, all textures lost too. ...
Re: Mac vs PC
Thanks Janusz for your recommendations, I will think seriously on the jump. I´ve been working on the graphic design and photography industry since ´98 and an Apple was an irreplaceable workmate for me, from the classic G3, late a G4, a Powerbook, an iMac 24, and finally this MacPro have passed by my...
Mac vs PC
Hi everybody, I've got lot of crashes on my MacPro 2 x 2,4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 6GB 1066 MHz DDR3, i mean, it's not the most powerful mac at the moment, but it's a big machine (with OSX 10.7.5) and scenes are really simple... I'm running a demo version of Ligtwave (11) + demo version of Kray (2....

Re: kray 3.0 preview
I've got the same question, assuming it is definitely cheaper to wait for kray 3,... do you have any idea on an aproximate launching date?
