For pure LWF you mean Quick LWF with default parameters, and NO tonemap blend but Gamma 2.2/1 in General Teb instead ?

I agree; Core will be a revolution, but rest assured your investment on Kray will keep it's value for a long time. I guess NT did most work on render engine before 9.6, coders now will concentrate on structure, modeling and animation for a while. Even when they'll touch rendering again, i doubt they...
