Residential Exterior

Hello. Here's the first residential exterior picture made with entirely Kray. Original size was 3913x4960 pixels. Render time to original was 3 hours 30 minutes. Modelling by me, rendering and setup by Johny. Project was relatively quickly done from the scratch, in around 6 hours total. http://www.r...

Yea, gotta agree there, that these are yet the best exteriors I've seen produced in Kray...

I love the last 2, awesome stuff, if not photoreal, but very appealing marketing style images!

Hehe, you see Johny that skydome is the way to go :) I love the light on the last one, excellent... Even though the scene is what it is, not very good example of exterior stuff...

You just load object to Layout that you want to instance. for example model name is Bush (only one layer object) Then create Null, name it Bush. After that, you can scale and rotate this null to tweak the instance size etc (the bush size that is cloned in rendering to this location with rotation and...

Basically what you gotta do with Kray, is try to look from this Maxwell render image the sources / places of light, and put them to the same positions in Kray.

This way you may achieve the wanted look quite easily, other is just then tweaking the intensities etc of the lights and surfacing...

Wow, outstanding studio shot! This is also what Kray needs, in the side of Archviz... Congrats and welcome to the forums!

This all sounds very nice, and what I've heard from the king sources of the IB guys, there aint TOO huge bugs anymore to tackle, in terms of basic use for archviz...

Can't wait to get my hands on with this stuff...

How about little update information?

Hey! I know of what I've heard of the dev progress of the Kray now, but would it be impossible to give little insight on how the things are going, some estimates etc to give us normal users something to wait for :) I'm not saying you should tell any deadlines or so, but just some update of what has ...

Little Kray something...

Hey, just a little sliced image of the latest Kray render (as in, got it rendered just 10 minutes ago... :) ) This is result of re-rendering a scene for client from 6 months back, originals were done with fprime and they looked just like it... Anyway, not much but I kinda liked this cropping so here...

Thanks for the crits! Yea this is not kinda finished image, as in still tweaking the setup. I noticed also some light leaks etc in this, as well as the AA is not the best one in the world. :)

Maybe I'll have the time to finish this one too...

Test image.

Hello all,

It's been relatively quiet here on Gallery, so I decided to upload this one personal practise image here.

Render time was around 35 minutes on this one, still playing around with settings quite a lot...

Pretty nice renders! AA could be a lot better, chrome surfaces are always the hard part to get good AA to, but other than that, the lightning is quite good as well as the modelling and surfacing!

Hmm I have to say it's not bad at all, in terms of LW render. You can easily notify the horrible GI solution (lot of splotches in the upper ceiling molding etc), also AA is nowhere near decent in that one, basically you could render this quality image in Kray in around 3 minutes... But of course it'...
