Couple revisited old renders
Hey, decided to post these couple quick renders. They are from more than 1 and half year old project, that client wanted to refresh some ideas and design. So basically what we did is implemented new Kray with tonemapping and light setups to old model, of course refreshing some of the surface ideas t...

Re: New features
Seems to me that this "noise" or "moire" effect is more likely crappy GI, splotches in small detail like the ventilation "bars"... If that's what you ment? Grid 4 FSAA should get rid of 99% of moire effects... Grid 4 catmull with FSAA is good for website resolution grap...

2 Exterior renders
Hey!
Here's couple exteriors made quite quickly, models from architect but all else done in less than 2 work days.
Render times for 4500 pixel wide images around 10 hours. rescaled from the original renders.
Comments welcome (except Johny)

Re: Interior animation
Hey thanks for sharing, pretty neat renders! I like the moody feeling of the light you've created, it does not always have to be fully bright lit interiors, I like your style here. Animated sequences in animation, like the tv are always the highlights that create the mood, though you have to see the...

We are sorry for the problem. We are fixing it as soon as possible, and will send updated files to all users owning the original.
We are also planning to release the all new Vol 2 in the near future, introducing more supported new RC1 stuff, so stay tuned!

Re: Kray/V-ray
Render was made by Jure I think, with basic knowledge of V-ray, comment Jure if I'm wrong, but you have played quite a lot around with it...
Anyway, I think the comparison gives some idea anyway...

Re: room
Jure: it is exactly the way you described, the blue light you see is from this table lamp you see in the last closeup render, not from outside.
So 99% of the light is just from the interior lamps, very little ambient light is from outside...

Re: Exterior test
As it seems it's all matter of taste now... I kinda still like those Johnys renders better, maybe maxwell has better photorealism, but for customers the appealing "V-ray style" Johny is after is much better in my opinion. Of course this depends on wether client wants realism or appealing -...

Re: Exterior test
Someones being too picky now. I think the light setup (which was the main focus on this test project) is now pretty much awesome.
And good for this is, that now we can transfer the working setup to all of our office projects, so this project paid off great!

It's a long time from OB8, that's true. But changes and new ideas that the OB9 brings on, is BIG too...

It's not HD instance, it's Kray instance.
